Strategic Steps:
  • Consider the existing infrastructure as part of the equation to implement new technologies.
    •       Critical to the development of the strategy is to incorporate the use of the existing infrastructure – and/or the transition. How do we look at a cutover per site and as an enterprise? How do we impact production and the user community? How is the Business Continuity impacted during transition? What is our cost of running parallel for any period if necessary? All of these considerations are defined in the strategic planning, – no stone unturned.
  • The Solutions
    •       We are all aware there are almost as many solution tracts – providers and products – with as many strengths and weaknesses as there are stars in the Milky Way. Not quite, but to illustrate – we understand there are many ways to structure an environment for transport and the core communication applications. Our role is to marry your requirement with the appropriate vendors and projects out there to create a landscape that is structurally sound, manageable, and cost effective.   • Develop RFPs and Vendor Selection
    •       When an RFP is appropriate, Blaze will assist in defining a typically closed RFP for distribution. We encourage the closed RFP process in the interest of cost, efficiency in terms of the best use of time and use of the team’s energy and resources.
      In practice, this means we have already vetted the vendor community and narrowed the field to providers that are best prepared to deliver and support the environment we are looking to achieve. Our energy is then focused on scrutinizing the candidates, from the product to contract to maintenance and support. Blaze is fully equipped to consider the full suite of options and vendors, perform the necessary filtering of potential providers; develop and manage the RFP process and assist in the selection.
  • Roadmap
    •       The roadmap and setting expectations are crucial to a successful implementation. We do not underestimate the importance of defining the dependencies, the business impact, and establishing realistic timelines. We recognize the need for aggressive deliveries and ensure priorities are established, and at the same time – we will always provide an honest representation of the deliverables.
      We are also cognizant of the communication chain and ensure that all our documentation is translatable to all the interested parties, providing additional efficiencies to our IT partners – our clients.
